FCA Ministry is an outgrowth of its founder's passion for Vatican II’s vision of “full, conscious and active participation” by all the faithful in the liturgical life of the Church. Joy holds a Master of Arts in Theological and Pastoral Studies as well as a Graduate Certificate in Liturgical Praxis from LaSalle University.  Her majority of courses in liturgical studies were complemented by courses in scripture, ecclesiology, and Christian leadership.

Joy has over 18 years of parish volunteer experience, working with and coordinating the various aspects of parish worship:

¨ Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Member of the Liturgy Preparation Team

¨ Art and Environment

¨ Formation for lectors and Eucharistic ministers

¨   RCIA Team

¨ Editing/writing General Intercessions for all Sunday and holyday liturgies

¨ Parish Liturgy Education Team

Her professional experience includes:

¨ Director of Religious Education for two years at a parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia

¨ Presenter in the Diocese of Trenton’s Adult Education Centers

Joy thus brings to her ministry not only academic knowledge and experience as a parish staff member but especially the real-life experience of the typical parishioner who is trying to make a contribution to parish life while balancing the competing demands of family, work and professional development.
